Since 2006, the Hands of Hope Prayer Shawl Ministry at Oak Grove has been creating handmade shawls as expressions of God’s love, comfort, and compassion.

Each shawl is made with prayer from the very beginning. We pray for the person who will receive it, often before we even know who they are. When the shawl is finished, members of the ministry pray over it, and it is then blessed by our church family during worship.

Over the years, God has used this ministry to bring comfort and encouragement to more than 800 people facing difficult circumstances.

A Gift of Comfort and Hope

Prayer shawls have been shared with individuals experiencing:

• Health challenges and illness

• The loss of a loved one

• House fires and other unexpected hardships

• Divorce and family struggles

• Other difficult or uncertain seasons of life

Each shawl serves as a tangible reminder: You are loved. You are not alone. You are being prayed for.

Use your creative gifts to make a shawl that will bring comfort and encouragement to someone in need.

🙏 Pray
You don't have to make a shawl to make a difference. Join us in prayer and help surround others with God's love and care.

💛 Learn Something New
If you don't know how to knit, crochet, or quilt, that's okay! Members of our ministry are happy to teach you.

🏠 Create from Home
There is no requirement to attend meetings. You can make your shawl at home and bring it to the church when it is finished to be prayed over and blessed.
